Job Description:

Ardurra is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our staff in Anderson, SC.


This position will be expected to plan, design, and possibly manage multidiscipline projects consisting of water/wastewater treatment and collection/distribution systems for municipal type clients in the Southeast region. The individual should be capable of performing the technical design and/or hydraulic modeling requirements on water/wastewater projects and collaborate with our team of engineers, EIT’s, CADD technicians, and sub consultants, to successfully execute these types of projects.


Prospective candidate must have a minimum five (5) years progressive experience in the municipal water/wastewater and/or public works field of engineering.

Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:



  • Develop detailed designs, plans, specifications, reports and cost estimates for treatment plants, pipelines, pump stations, tanks and other water / wastewater storage and conveyance systems.

  • More specific responsibilities include performing or managing engineering/process design, hydraulics, pumping systems, and treatment process projects.

  • Ability to coordinate with the multiple departments and sub-consultants required for multi-discipline projects.

  • Ability to create, calibrate, modify, and perform hydraulic modeling for water and wastewater systems, and interpret and communicate the results to others.

  • Ability to research and utilize available resources.

  • Candidate must be self-motivated, able to lead or assist a project team to completion of multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Effectively communicate, in English, both verbally and in writing.

Minimum Requirements:


The Ideal Candidate shall possess the following Minimum Qualifications:



  • Proven experience in the design/construction of Civil Engineering Projects (facilities (vertical), utilities, land development, transportation)

  • Supervisory and leadership skills

  • Relevant technical expertise

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate


Education and Experience Requirements:



  • Bachelors degree or better in Civil Engineering or related field required

  • Professional Engineer (South Carolina), or availability to obtain license within 6 months

  • At least five (5) years of experience

  • Advanced understanding of water treatment / distribution and wastewater collection / treatment principles and state regulations is preferred.

  • Civil/site design and land development is a plus.
