Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities



  • Provides technical support to manufacturing operations, manufacturing/sustainment engineers, and quality engineers.

  • Supports validation projects including data collection, test method validations, and statistical analysis.

  • Supports implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes, and operations for new and existing products.

  • Supports sustaining Engineering and QE in resolving Manufacturing issues.

  • Leads and/or participates in lean and cost reduction activities

  • Supports/conducts investigations and associated actions related to CAPA and Internal/external audit activities.

  • Supports/conducts investigations and associated actions related to customer complaints and inquiries.

  • Supports maintenance of Quality System implementation.

  • May perform QC inspection activities as required.

  • May support dispositions of nonconforming material and processes.

  • May support execution/hosting of audits




Education and Experience Requirements



  • Pursuing a Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering. Other scientific or manufacturing related fields may be considered.

  • Must have a minimum GPA of 2.8 or higher.

  • 0-2 years. Previous internship is preferred, but not required.




Skills and Abilities



  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic statistics in a manufacturing environment

  • Knowledge of Lean & Six Sigma principles in a manufacturing environment

  • Proficiency in data collection, organization, and use of statistical analysis software (Minitab-preferred)

  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic problem-solving skills, such as DMAIC and PDCA

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to partner with engineers and other support staff clearly and concisely

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Basic understanding of various manufacturing methods (machining, molding, extrusions, etc.)

  • Able to read and understand drawings and procedures

  • Able to use inspection equipment, tools, and test equipment

  • Basic knowledge of:



  • FMEA

  • ISO 14971

  • ISO13485

  • Metrology & ISO 17025 Requirements

  • MSA

  • GMP




Working Conditions and Physical Demands




Physical



  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.

  • Requires visual and tactile acuity, and dexterity (fine motor skills).

  • Work is performed in a low noised, well maintained manufacturing environment with potential chemical application hazards.

  • Office environment interaction
