Vectorply, a world leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of high-performance composite fabrics, is a privately-owned company with headquarters in Phenix City, AL. Vectorply employs approximately 200 employees between administration, sales and production and produces more than 350 distinctive styles of reinforcement fabrics for a wide variety of composites applications.
The Parts and Supplies Coordinator is directly responsible for maintaining and controlling maintenance spare parts and other supplies for the site. The Parts and Supplies Coordinator will create purchase orders and receive parts in Sage; manage day to day operations consisting of receiving, stocking, and issuing spare parts; perform weekly/monthly cycle counts; and provide assistance to plant personnel when identifying and locating spare parts.
Essential Functions

Dedicated to providing quality service for internal and external customers.
Adhere to company and departmental procedures for safety, conduct, and training.
Maintain optimal inventory of spare parts required to support production operations, and PM activities.
Reduce / eliminate slow and non-moving inventory and review safety stock levels of all items to reduce inventory carrying cost.
Support and drive cost savings efforts related to spare parts inventory and sourcing.
Perform Cycle Counts on an ongoing basis to ensure accurate inventory levels, focusing on critical items.
Create purchase orders and perform receipts in Sage.
Properly store, segregate, and protect materials, parts and supplies.
Ensure accuracy of parts received and parts issued.
Provide emergency support for locating and ordering out of stock and/or obsolete critical parts.
Be able to support a flexible work schedule that includes support of off shifts, emergency call-ins during critical emergency situations and for weekends and holidays as needed.
Create and revise min/max inventory parameters.
Communicate clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles within all levels of the organization. Be able to communicate and negotiate with internal and external customers as related to spare parts sourcing and procurement.
Able to utilize computer software such as MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, and Sage. Be proficient at internet searches utilizing Internet Explorer.
