Job Description:

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

This role supports the mission and core values of Hoosier Gasket Corporation (HGC) by performing various tasks to ensure the Quality Management System is functioning as intended. Function as a lead for process and document changes, is part of the activities for introduction of new products utilizing APQP tools and is a coordinator of different activities that are essential for the proper functioning of the Quality Management System and the Environmental Management System.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Coordinate all document control and changes

  • Support all internal audits (IATF 16949-2016 and ISO 14001-2015)

  • Participate with different departments in the creation and evaluation of work instructions, procedures and other process documents

  • Work on multidisciplinary teams to perform root cause analysis of systems and process issues

  • Maintain and update log for Non Conformity and Corrective Actions

  • Support record retention activities, including recording specific documents per our record retention procedure

  • Provide summary of status of Corrective Actions to Leadership of the plant

  • Supports Engineering and Quality Engineering with APQP tools as needed, including Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plans and Measurement System Analysis

  • Assists Quality Engineer with Issues by completing Quality Alert, assisting with containment and pulling files for issues

  • Miscellaneous tasks and projects to support HGC and its Continuous Improvement activities

  • Interacting and working professionally with co-workers and management in communication and actions

  • Conduct internal audits to verify conformity to ISO 9001-2015 and ISO 14001-2015

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Utilize computer and software to generate reports

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
