Heritage Hall Rich Creek is currently recruiting for a full-time Business Office Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to assist with a variety of business office duties in a busy 120-bed nursing facility.

Job Summary:

The Business Office Assistant is responsible for accounts payable transactions, serves as the backup resident fund custodian, and assists the Business Office Manager with various accounts receivable duties. The Business Office Assistant also serves as the facility Receptionist.

Qualifications:

The Business Office Assistant must be organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task. Preference will be given to applicants with previous nursing facility and/or business office experience.

Job Duties and Responsibilities :


  • Answer the telephone and greet visitors
  • Office errands, including banking and daily post office pickup
  • Prepare regular account deposit
  • Petty Cash handout
  • Balance RFMS box
  • Sort mail and deliver to appropriate department
  • Office filing
  • Process all facility accounts payable invoices/transactions.
  • Serve as the Backup Resident Fund Custodian and manage the resident fund account.
  • Assist the Business Office Manager with Accounts Receivable duties, including verifying insurance benefits, processing the daily census, and following up on outstanding accounts.
  • Serve as a backup for other AR activity in the Business Office Manager's absence.
  • Comply fully with American HealthCare's Code of Conduct and HIPAA policies.

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Human Resource and Business Office Experience preferred, but willing to train the right person
  • Must be a notary or eligible to become a notary
  • Valid drivers license
  • Knowledge of general office procedures
  • Ability to operate office equipment
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and execute time management
  • Must be able to travel as necessary for training and meetings
  • Must have strong verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to communicate with a wide variety of individuals
