Job Description:


This Data and Operations Intern will be responsible for supporting our Health Economics - Reporting and Data Analytics team in a variety of projects including, but not limited to, technical data analysis, team operations, and ad-hoc tasks relating to the medical side of insurance.

The Elevance Health Summer Internship Program is a 12-week immersive experience designed to provide students with real-life, challenging project work, improve business acumen, provide exposure to senior and executive leadership, and the opportunity to learn more about the healthcare industry! Interns will participate in career and professional development activities and networking events with other interns and associates.

How you will make an impact:
  • Research, analyze, and document operations issues and the issue resolutions
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to analyze, document, and coordinate issue resolutions
  • Support implementations and system configurations
  • Analyze and organize large data-sets
  • Contribute research and insights to resolve data discrepancies
  • Present deliverables and insights in stand-up meetings with key stakeholders
  • Identify workflows and document step-by-step processes to optimize day-to-day functions
  • Interfacing with a variety of teams and departments to assist with tasks such as data collection, analysis, and preparing strategic reports
Minimum Requirements:
  • Pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Data Science, Data Analytics or other related degree at an accredited college or university
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
  • Experience with SQL or any other database management/data analytics software is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
  • Excellent Communication and Presentation skills
  • Excellent Problem-solving, Analytical, and Organizational skills
