We are looking for a medical laboratory scientist or medical laboratory technician to join our Flow Cytometry department

Location: Dallas, Texas (75247)

Hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Days: Monday - Friday / Rotating Tuesday - Saturday

Full-Time/Benefit Eligible

In this role, you will:

  • Log, label, and organize clinical specimens.

  • Prepare specimens for test analysis.

  • Follow the laboratory's standard operating procedures (SOP) for handling, processing, reporting, and maintaining records of patient test results.

  • Insure all correct clinical data/information is entered into computer system. (e.g., order entry, patient demographics and/or results.)

  • Perform routine laboratory tests and analyses according to SOPs under moderate supervision of a Medical Technologist.

  • Prepare appropriate reagents and controls under moderate supervision of a Medical Technologist.

  • Perform and document instrument maintenance checks as required by the SOP.

  • Investigate instrument errors and function checks which may include contacting the Technical Support division for instrument/assay troubleshooting instructions. Document and report all unresolved issues to Medical Technologist or Supervisor.

  • Adhere to all quality control/quality assurance policies and procedures. Document all quality control activities.

All you need is:

  • At minimum an associate's degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution

  • 1 year of laboratory training or experience performing high complexity testing

  • Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Bonus points if you've got:

  • 1 - 2 years of related experience in clinical laboratory, is strongly preferred.
