The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a(n) Laboratory Technologist you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Leading a technician team to work with product developers/chemists to test solutions for new products or the re-qualification of existing products.


• Implements new and existing test methods to perform physical, optical and mechanical analysis on coated films


• Supports product developers by actively engaging in communication related to testing and results, equipment issues, and workload progress.


• Determines sample properties and whether the performance is correct and accurate. Record and report those results back to the product developer.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in a science related discipline


• Five (5) years of job-related experience

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

• Experience with physical property testing of PSAs (pressure sensitive adhesives)


• Experienced in training other technicians on test methods

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Ten years (10) years of technician experience


• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
