Job Details:




Summary:



This position is in Tyson Logansport Scale house. It ensures accurate livestock weights and payments to producers/truckers. Oversees livestock contracts and generates weekly/monthly reports to the plant and corporate.



Duties/Responsibilities:



Verify livestock weights and download electronic scale data.


Generate payments to producers and truckers.


Audit weights and payments data.


Prepare various weekly/monthly spread sheets and reports for the plant and corporate.


Other duties as assigned.


Work activities are variable and require judgment to complete tasks set priorities evaluate results.


Must have the ability to work with a broad range of plant and corporate personnel as well as producers, truckers and financial institutions.


Minimum of basic computer skills, MS Outlook, Word, Excel required.


Must have the ability to read and complete reports and required paperwork.


Must be able to work independently with little to no direct supervision.


Excellent verbal communications skills are required.


Knowledge of basic office equipment and business practices required.


Applicant will be expected to cross-train in all areas of the office to provide vacation and sick coverage.



Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Higher education in the Accounting field is preferred.


Two (2) years relevant experience in accounting or bookkeeping required.


Hours are from 9 am to 5 pm with training opportunities later in the day.
