Job Description:

The Aspenwood Company, a leader in the senior living industry, has an opportunity for an experienced Director of Business Development at our Village of Southampton and Village of Tanglewood locations.

The Director of Business Development is responsible for creating lead referral sources by developing professional business-to-business relationships. This role is responsible for developing resources for leads, partnering with high profile community groups, reporting weekly business plans and results, participating in outside professional networking events, education and sponsorships with local service organizations and other business partners. Must desire to work with seniors and have a tolerance for behaviors associated with dementia and other aging processes. Abides by company core values.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
Attends daily stand-up when in the community and communicates status of lead referral sources.Maintain professional altitude and appearance at all times.Provides guidance to any internal customers regarding community services, external resources, and sales assistance.Responsible for Outreach Referral monthly budget and expenditures.Partner with high profile community groups to develop lead base for the community.Provide weekly reports from Customer Relationship Management system using regarding plans, activities and results.Enter all leads weekly into Customer Relationship Management to track referral sources, follow-up activities and prospect names.Participate in outside professional networking events.recommend sponsorships for local service organizations.Participate in all internal lead generating, sales advancement, and professional network marketing events.Assist Sales with resident tours and responding to sales inquiries as needed.Attend and assist with Director's Specials as requested.Participate in the Manager on Duty (MOD) rotation.Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federal laws.Must possess a valid driver's license, CDL as needed, to provide resident transportation as needed.Member of the community's emergency response team.Maintains a professional appearance and good hygiene per company policy.Responsible in coordinating multiple tasks with competing priorities and deadlines. Identifies and evaluates problems and possible causes to determine root causes and impacts.Promotes engagement and superior customer service with external partners, prospective and current residents, resident guests and other persons. Possess the ability to deal tactfully with all situations. Open-minded with the ability to listen to others.Provides follow up with prospects including home visits.Assist with special projects or tasks; other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in sales and marketing, business or related field or equivalent experienceMinimum of 2 years' experience with business development, senior living or health services preferred.Demonstrated success in business development for senior living or health services.Must have strong relationship building skills.Working knowledge of computer programs including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Yardi a plusMust possess excellent English written and verbal communication skills.Organizational and time management skills. Excellent hospitality skills.Must be flexible in the hours, shifts and days available to work.Must have reliable transportation to and from work and including when attending company events or home visits.
