Job Description:

This role is responsible for recruiting and sourcing YMCA roles. Starting pay for this role is $60,000. depending on experience.

Job Summary:
The Talent Business Partner is responsible for lifecycle recruitment and volunteer efforts across the YMCA of the North (YOTN). The incumbent provides data analytics to support recruitment initiatives, serves as recruitment system expert, and builds and sustain relationships with schools and community to create applicant and volunteer network.

The essential functions of this role apply to team member and volunteer initiatives.

Essential Functions:

System, Process & Troubleshooting

Maintain and provide functional, technical, and process expertise utilizing the UKG application. Troubleshoot issues, resolve system and data problems, perform routine system maintenance to ensure hiring and onboarding is working in all talent systems.
Develop and maintain talent metrics and analyze data for effectiveness and information sharing with program areas, leaders, etc.
Identify training needs for Talent Acquisition end-users and develop training resources and updates hiring resource center and UKG.
Create, communicate, and submit reports for auditing and compliance and follow up with managers to ensure we are timely in our efforts. Including job category clean-up weekly, update templates annually, monthly requisition follow-up to ensure still open and annual background check processes as needed.
Ensure quality control and monitor productivity through the interview, hiring, process and on-boarding.
Build, maintain, and review process and procedure documentation used for Talent Acquisition related tasks to process improve and create efficiencies.

Sourcing, Marketing & Networking

Partner with marketing to create flyers and job features each month to distribute internally and to our community partners to increase visibility for the YMCA and career opportunities on social media, job boards, eQuest, etc.
Develop and manage third party vendors including build and sustain relationships, submit invoices, analyze ROI and bring issues to leader as necessary.
Create and implement an outreach strategy that allows us to achieve our talent acquisition needs through proactive, effective and achieve short-and long-term talent goals.
Network, build and maintain relationships with school and community partners to grow a pipeline of quality applicants and volunteers both in terms of number of applicants and volunteers and diversity to advance our mission.
Build relationships with team members and serve as a support to connecting them with opportunities (trainings, experiences, new job postings)
Collaborate with Organizational Leaders and Marketing to identify and drive a "best in class" approach to attract and source top talent for hires and volunteers.

Project Management & Leadership

Lead recruiting training on the talent acquisition system, process and interviewing as well as the volunteer service program for new supervisors and refreshers for existing supervisors.
Consult, collaborate, and provide leadership support to operations leadership and/or external partners on talent and volunteer strategies, programs, processes, and policies.
Provide work direction to various team members for hiring events. Including organize and manage hiring events including recruiting representation, registration, logistics training and program coverage.
Generate compliance reports and submit- including EEO-1 reporting and MN compliance in collaboration with talent team.
Communicate and interpret programs, objectives, policies, and operating procedures to leaders, volunteers, applicants and team members.
Apply Federal, State, Local laws and YMCA of the North policy by providing coaching and consultation in talent acquisition compliance matters throughout the employment cycle including team member onboarding.

Relationships:

This position reports to the Talent Acquisition Director who reports to the Executive Vice President of People and Culture. The incumbent interacts with the talent team, hiring managers and communities and partner organizations to provide recruitment support. The position involves interaction with upper management, branch executives, supervisors, and external organizations.

Qualifications:

Required

Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field. Demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Minimum of three (3) years of full life-cycle recruitment experience including working with applicant tracking systems.
Minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated experience performing talent sourcing activities, internet searches including social media sourcing and creating and refining Boolean search strings.
Ability to develop and foster relationships through outreach and networking.
Ability to work with a sense of urgency to drive recruiting efficiencies and goals to gain results.
Ability to anticipate project needs, discern work priorities, and meet multiple deadlines with little supervision.
Project management skills with a proven track record of effectively driving process improvement, multitasking and a high attention to detail as well as giving work direction.
Excellent interpersonal and interviewing skills; ability to effectively coach, counsel, influence and establish rapport with candidates, hiring managers, and external agents.
Ability to analyze and problem-solve with critical thinking and meticulous attention to detail including performing complex research and recommendations.
Ability to lead by influence with a consultative approach with various stakeholders with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and leaders at various levels to achieve desired results.
Ability to exercise discretion in matters of candidate, employee and organization confidentiality.
Proficient using MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), database search and web-based platforms, social media and Applicant tracking systems (ATS) experience.
Ability to work both independently and as a team in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to be both strategic and work hands on.
Ability to negotiate prices for goods, services, and facilities.

Preferred

Experience working in a nonprofit.
Experience working with Kronos Workforce Ready.
Certification in AIRS, LinkedIn Search or other sourcing best practice certification

Work Conditions:

Must be able to work on a computer for extended periods.
Ability to travel across Minnesota and Western Wisconsin for meetings, events and job fairs with occasional overnight travel.
Ability to work flexible hours that may include evenings and weekends as necessary.
