Job Description:

The Regional Operations Director is responsible for the overall atmosphere, curriculum implementation, and age appropriate development of each child in School Age Child Care, Summer Day Camp and other youth development programs. Collaborate with both branch and association teams to ensure children and their families are a part of a learning community in which they experience a sense of wonder, play, adventure, imagination, and support. This position will provide supervision to multiple childcare locations.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must have a high school diploma or GED and 2-3 years experience in an School Age Childcare setting; CDA, degree in Education or degree in a related field is preferred
Tuberculin assessment every two years
Background check and criminal abuse and neglect check
Maintain compliance with 922 KAR 2:120, 922 KAR 2:280, and 922 KAR 2:090.
Complete Infant/ Child/ Adult CPR, First Aid & AED (30 days post hire) and Division of Regulated Child Care (DRCC) training (60 days post hire)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide direct leadership and supervision of association youth development programs around licensing, risk management and safety
Ensure the development, implementation, and monitoring of plans, policies, and procedures aligned with YMCA policies, health department requirements and Kentucky regulatory statutes
Hire and supervise staff to meet program goals and maintain program safety
Promote the health, safety, and comfort of each child; create and facilitate age-appropriate activities
Develop and maintain collaborate relationships with community organizations such as schools, churches and other community resources
Ensure safety of all children by observing, keeping ratio counts, and retraining staff as necessary
Monitor program for continuous improvement, complete administration work as required for site operations and participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings
Monitor documentation attendance, incident reports, food program counts, medication waivers, daily care sheets, etc. according to state licensing and program requirements
Complete licensing audits and Plans of Correction for all YMCA locations and ensure any corrections are completed and executed
Serve on the Youth Development Leadership team and other association teams as assigned
Communicate regularly and work in direct collaboration with the Senior Director Program Operations to meet association standards, program quality and fidelity metrics

Maintain all documentation attendance, incident reports, food program counts, medication waivers, daily care sheets, etc. according to state licensing and program requirements
Build and maintain open communication with children, parents, Y Leaders and other staff
Assist in fundraising activities and special events
Perform other duties as assigned

The Y: Were for youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT: Lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, stooping, sitting on floor or in child sized chairs, climbing, reaching, running, carrying or holding a child up to 50 lbs., pushing, operating a computer and swimming with children are all required functions of the position. Spending time outdoors during summer and winter months is also a requirement.

STATUS: Full-time, Exempt

SCHEDULE: Available Monday-Friday 6:30am-7:00pm & occasional weekends
