Responsible for providing technical support for the Plants at Mont Belvieu, TX. Areas to include pipeline and process engineering, project management, process optimization, troubleshooting, business and operations technical support for NGL fractionators, LSNG, LEP and pipelines/terminal.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Size and rate plant process and compressor equipment.
Model and evaluate plant operation and suggest efficiency and debottlenecking projects
Model processing units to include NGL fractionators, low C2 propane units, gasoline hydrotreaters and terminal and storage operations.
Provide technical support for plant operations and maintenance personnel, as well as commercial stake holders.
Provide and assist with cost estimating for projects.
Provide project management on assigned capital projects
Develop treating and process simulations and models and review against operating conditions
Assure all Targa design and construction standards are met and followed
Assure State, Federal and Targa regulations and policies in Safety and Environmental areas are adhered to within area of responsibility.
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
BS degree in Chemical Engineering from 4-year accredited university
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Teams and Excel.
Proficient in use of process simulators (Promax, HYSYS, or equivalent).
Ability to interface effectively with all levels within the company as well as organizations outside the company.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Regular and reliable attendance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
BS or MS degree in Chemical Engineering from 4-year accredited university
2-5 years of experience in natural gas processing and/or fractionation
2+ years of experience in project engineering and/or project management
PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds
Ability to work in changing climate conditions and a plant environment
Able to work in close quarters: i.e., work while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, and standing.
Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines (ex: eye protection, footwear, hard hat, FRC)
The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
