Reporting to the Inside Sales Supervisor, the Sales Support Specialist will be responsible for the service and support of external channels and new business activities. Building strong relationships with our Commercial Vehicle Business Unit customers globally, the Sales Support Specialist will perform a variety of sales and customer service-related activities including sales support, pricing, quoting, financial reporting, business reviews, presentations, research, and problem resolution.
Responsibilities:
Provide support to the global customers and sales teams
Cooperate with global parties involved concerning complaints and claims
Manage Pricing and Quotations
Maintain communication between Product Management, Marketing and Sales to meet corporate objectives
Keep track with sales numbers and turnover, financial reports
Support the entire inside sales process from proposal to close
Customer support on the phone about 15% of the time, no cold calling is required
Requirements:
Bachelor's or university degree
3+ years of experience in a sales support or administrative role
Familiarity with manufacturing and manufacturing cost analysis
Experience with global manufacturing companies preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with any CRM software would be an advantage
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
JD Edwards experience preferred
