The Adolescent Crisis Stabilization Program is a short-term, 24/7 residential crisis unit located in Decatur, Georgia. The Crisis Stabilization program provides comprehensive psychiatric crisis intervention and stabilization services to adolescents, 14-17 years of age.

Under direct supervision, performs routine maintenance on buildings, facilities and grounds. Cleans and maintains assigned areas.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Program Specific - Food Service Responsibilities & Duties
Oversees all aspects of food service operations in a 24-hour-per-day Acute Services program for adults. Follows standard operating procedures that ensure adherence to all applicable rules and regulations for food preparation, sanitation, and storage. Plans, prepares, and serves meals. Provides daily oversight to facility, clients and staff as needed assigned to food service. Assists in training newstaff instandard operating procedures and ensures adherence. Plans meals that conform to standards for healthy diets. Assembles, prepares, and cooks food according to daily menus. Prepares meals for residential/other staff or consumers to serve in his/her absence. Uses and maintains a file of standardized recipes for food preparation and ensures use of standardized recipes in food preparation processes. Inspects food and beverages during preparation and service to ensure quality, quantity, and compliance with established guidelines of proper temperatures for hot and cold foods. Plans and supervises the arrangement of food into serving containers. Determines what serving utensils are to be used and the appropriate portion size. Prepares the serving line by setting up or directing the setup of food and supplies. Arranges or oversees the appropriate arrangement of chairs and tables, condiments, napkins, etc. in the serving area. Serves food in a pleasant, courteous, and attractive manner. Follows safe food handling procedures ensure the health and safety of consumers. Replenishes food supplies and breaks down service area at the end of the serving period. Directs or performs the cleaning of equipment (mixer, fryer, grill, oven, etc.) after use. Oversees or performs the cleaning of counter tops, sinks, and floors after every use. Demonstrates cost awareness in the use of property and supplies. Trains and monitors staff in operating and maintaining equipment safely. Reports equipment maintenance needs.Ensures strict observance of all safety precautions.Conducts facility and equipment sanitation inspections at regular intervals.Assists with ordering and doing inventory of food service stock.Ensures proper receipt and storage of food and related items.Prepares required records and reports.Maintains food service operation in compliance with the public health standards required for issuance of a food service permit.Functions as a liaison to food service inspectors or other regulators.

Individual Job Description:
The Food Service Worker is responsible for daily meal services and food service operations in a 24-hour-per-day Acute services residential treatment program as well as follows the standard operating procedures that ensure adherence to all applicable rules and regulations for food preparation, sanitation and storage.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.Must be Able to Preform DHS Cleaning Covid 19 Standard procedures.Plans, prepares, and serves meals according to daily menus.This position requires travel to the Adult, Adolescent, and Autism CSUs.Plans meals that conform to standards for healthy diets.Uses and maintains a file of standardized recipes for food preparation and ensures use of standardized recipes in food preparation processes.Inspects food and beverages during preparation and service to service to ensure quality, quantity, and compliance with established guidelines of proper temperatures for hot and cold foods.Serves food in a pleasant, courteous, and attractive manner.Follows safe food handling procedures ensure the health and safety of consumers.Performs the cleaning of equipment (mixer, fryer, grill, oven, etc.) after use.Performs equipment maintenance needs.Ensures strict observance of all safety precautions.Conducts facility and equipment sanitation inspections at regular intervals.Ensures proper receipt and storage of food and related items. Prepares required records and reports.Maintains food service operation in compliance with the public health standards required for issuance of a food service permit.Functions as a liaison to food service inspectors or other regulators.Assists with Direct Care coverage or breaks as needed.Assists with janitorial duties as needed.All applicants must be capable of implementing all of the physical behavior management/ manual techniques for employment.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED AND six months of general janitorial experience.
Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:
At least one (1) year of job-related experience working as a Janitor.Solid experience performing janitorial duties that involve using various chemicals for cleaning.

Requirements/Competencies:
Must be able to lift 20 pounds.Requires long periods of sitting/standing.Must have valid Georgia drivers license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting).Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens.Any combination of training and experience, which would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license.Other duties as assigned.
