SOLV Energy is an engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) and solar services provider for utility solar, high voltage substation and energy storage markets across North America.

Job Description Summary:
The Talent Acquisition Manager will be responsible for ensuring talent acquisition efforts and initiatives are aligned with business needs, executing, and adjusting as needed to yield the intended business results for core operations as well as our shared services teams.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Enhance SOLV Energy's ability to find, recruit, assess, hire, and onboard high-quality talent in all areas and at all levels of our business

  • Diagnose talent acquisition issues or identify opportunities and implement innovative solutions or ideas

  • Partner with teammates and Operations leaders to:

    • Manage and continuously improve our talent acquisition strategies and processes (sourcing, recruiting, attracting talent, etc.) to support the business needs of the organization - partner with business leaders to ensure processes are being efficiently and effectively executed

    • Collaborate to continuously improve our talent workforce planning strategies to understand long-term talent needs (volume, skills, experience, knowledge, etc.)

    • Cultivate relationships with division and department leadership




  • Partner with Marketing to design, implement, manage, and continuously improve our marketing strategy for talent acquisition (messaging, employer value prop, touchpoints, digital, social, etc.), including:

    • Messaging strategy to generate interest / demand ("call-to-action" marketing)

    • Brand Reputation Monitoring and Management

    • Create content marketing to educate potential talent on valuable industry trends / insights

    • Recruiting events strategy

    • Job advertising strategy (look and feel)



  • Develop and maintain a long-term strategy to drive broad brand awareness for potential talent

  • Collaborate to continuously improve our ability to track and manage prospective talent

  • Collaborate to continuously improve our interviewing and talent assessment strategies / processes - implement appropriate training as needed

  • Collect and evaluate company-wide internship programs and make recommendations on ways to bolster our intern experience - partner with Operations to manage and continuously improve the "internship experience" at SOLV Energy company-wide

  • Monitor, manage, and continuously improve the "pre-hire experience"

  • Evaluate current employee onboarding company-wide - Develop and implement a refreshed go-forward design for employee onboarding and continuously improve the onboarding experience

  • Collaborate on improving our current "candidate experience" (experience and touchpoints any candidate has with SOLV Energy from first contact to final decision - who, what, when, etc.)

  • Facilitate internal talent mobility intake, tracking, screening, and communication efforts with internal candidates

  • Develop talent acquisition metrics and targets for the business (key performance indicators)

  • Develop and execute a strategy to monitor employee experience in the first three (3) years of employment (collect feedback and provide insight to Operations leadership)

  • Assist with high-school outreach efforts to promote industry interest

  • Assist with college recruiting efforts and attend events as needed

  • Assist with technical recruiting process design as needed - collaborate to remove obstacles to efficient and effective recruiting processes

  • Coordinate with and oversee operations HR personnel involved with any internal or external talent acquisition, mobility, and onboarding efforts

  • Partner with Marketing to develop and continuously improve compelling marketing collateral for talent acquisition purposes - manage distribution to local operations

  • Manage our effective use of technology in the talent acquisition space (includes creation of guidelines, how-tos, processes, best practices, etc.)

  • Track retention of new talent through year 3 - identify challenges and provide suggested solutions to the Talent team for improving retention of new talent

  • Assist with the development of talent acquisition strategies that proactively build diverse candidate pools at all levels in all positions at SOLV Energy

  • Solicit input from candidates and new employees on their perspectives, concerns, and motivations as it pertains to benefits (traditional and non-traditional), retirement programs, career paths, employment policies, wellness programs, and diversity & inclusion strategies and how this impacts our ability to attract, recruit, and retain talent

  • Conduct market research to identify where we can find the best, diverse talent who fit our cultural and technical demands for the different areas and levels of our business

  • Be a thought leader on talent acquisition topics by participating in talent related professional organizations and attending relevant industry and talent-related events

  • Maintain current understanding of the talent landscape in construction and relevant industry dynamics


Minimum Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a related role (recruiting, talent acquisition, college talent management, University student career services role, etc.)

  • Experience defining and delivering talent acquisition strategies to meet the needs of the business

  • Experience with workforce planning, recruiting, interviewing, and hiring strong talent

  • Experience using data analytics to create, measure, and scale talent acquisition efforts to achieve accelerated hiring goals

  • Experience creating and implementing marketing strategies for talent acquisition

  • Experience diagnosing talent acquisition issues and implementing solutions

  • A strong knowledge of current talent acquisition practices, trends, and new developments

  • A strong knowledge of demographic and generational factors that impact talent acquisition

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Experience working with recruiting tools and systems (includes resume databases, internet sourcing tools, social media tools, shared spreadsheets, etc.)

Compensation Range:

$91,520.00 - $137,280.00
