SUMMARY :
Accurately and reliably tickets trucks and professionally interacts with customers. The scale operator/dispatcher is the first line of communication coming into the plant and is an effective gatekeeper.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
Keeps accurate records of scheduled loads, received loads, and communication of possible trucking issues to correct individuals.
Cleans the scales: moving the hose and spraying from under the scales to ensure accurate weighing.
Maintains knowledge of the products on site and their location to direct the trucks and ensure the proper product is loaded.
Keeps customer service a priority, ensuring the operator knows the trucks are in the yard and keeps them moving efficiently.
