Job Description:

90% FTE, 12 hour day/evening shift, including weekends. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will be working at American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison, WI.

We are seeking a Care Team Leader to: 


  • Motivate and lead nursing staff while working in collaboration with the interprofessional team.

  • Analyze and resolve problems that fall outside the domain of the nurse clinician and collaborate with other departments and care providers. 

  • Mentor others to grow professionally and advance their knowledge and skills.

Education:

Preferred – Baccalaureate degree in nursing. 

Work Experience: 

Minimum- 


  • Two (2) years’ experience in an inpatient unit. 

  • At least two (2) years of combined work experience and leadership experience may be considered in lieu of two (2) years’ experience in an inpatient unit. 

Preferred- 


  • Three (3) years’ experience in an acute care inpatient unit. 

  • Relevant RN Experience with department specific patient population. 

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum-


  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact

  • Current CPR/BLS certification

  • PALS certification within 6 months of hire. 

Preferred-


  • National certification in relevant specialty
