As as Senior Data Analyst in our Enterprise Data Office (EDO), you will be responsible for driving analytics initiatives across enterprise business units leveraging our state of the art analytics cloud environment
What you'll do
Support the EDO's strategic initiatives as assigned by EDO Leader Team
Ability to talk to impact and strategic importance of findings on the business (either Equifax or external customer) and recommend appropriate course of action; ability to advocate to implementation of solutions and improved processes as well as share the qualitative and quantitative elements to drive value and share the "so what' out of the analysis being performed
Consultative approach to data projects, with the ability to artfully articulate the analysis to non-technical audiences
Use analytical insights to develop solutions and improved processes and work with counterparts in the business to implement proposed solutions
Package, summarize, visualize and perform storytelling on analytical findings and results for management and business users
Ensure proper use of Equifax data assets by working closely with data governance and compliance professionals
Functions as a trusted advisor regarding relevant markets, business strategies and operating environments to both the business and individual members.
Gathers data on competitors and analyzes their prices, sales, and method of marketing and distribution.
Communicates with clarity and precision, presenting complex information in a concise format that is audience appropriate.
Takes a whole systems approach to analyze business issues and implements holistic solutions, ensuring that linkages between structure, people, process and technology are made.
Builds and maintains an understanding of industry trends and uses knowledge to identify factors that differentiate Equifax from its competitors
Develops work plans for short-term assignments of moderate complexity, typically contained within own function
Demonstrates a solid understanding of customers' perspectives to advocate for customer needs and gain commitment for the resources needed to meet those needs
What experience you need
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, Engineering, or a comparable discipline
No less than 5 years of work experience in identifying, gathering, transforming and analyzing data within and across database platforms (SQL, Python, Tableau, Looker)
Strong analytical skills including the ability to rapidly learn new business, data assets and how to apply them to drive business impacts
You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with team members at various levels, including business leaders
What could set you apart
Advanced degree in Statistics, Engineering, Business Analytics or a comparable discipline or experience
Familiarity with Data Management (MDM, Data Quality, Metadata, Data Architecture/Modeling, Privacy) and Data Governance.
Work experience in the SaaS industry driving sales or marketing functions
Work experience building, loading, transforming, and analyzing data within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other similar cloud environment
Work experience with regulated data
Provides behaviorally-oriented performance feedback to others without hesitation, even when the feedback is difficult to deliver
