Minimum Qualifications:
Must have High School Diploma or GED
Must have three (3) years of experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment
Minimum of 1 year experience as GM1
Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and shifts as required.
Must be able to work outdoors as required
Must have good safety, work, and attendance record.
Must be able to work in a team with minimum supervision.
Must be able to read and write English
Must be able to lift 40 pounds frequently as well as walk up and downstairs
Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods of time.
Must be willing and able to work extended hours (beyond scheduled hours) on short notice
Must be able to work from elevated areas (Ladders, Scissor Lifts, Articulating lifts, etc.....)
Must score at a sufficient level on the mechanical aptitude evaluation
Must have lift truck certification or ability to obtain certification
Job Tasks:
Maintain and/or repair BCF equipment including all assigned support equipment as necessary. Focusing primarily on scheduled maintenance, parts replacement/ repair, and general cleaning of machinery. Clean and maintain the facility including areas assigned outside.
Work safely obeying all plant rules and procedures
Maintain a clean and orderly workplace for your assigned areas
Changing filters including air handler blanket filters, motor cooling filters. Compressed air filters. Change oil in extruder gearboxes installs/remove resin lines, vacuum filters, dryer filters, vacuum pump oil, blower filters.
Rebuild serviceable parts including jets, valves, guides, drums, rollers, pneumatic cylinders, resin pumps any parts that can be rebuilt directly or indirectly related to production.
Assist other mechanics in completing project work or repair of more compressive equipment
Any other task deemed necessary by the management team
