Position Summary:

Provide technical and professional leadership to manage the maintenance engineering aspect of the maintenance process. Ensure maintainability and reliability of equipment, buildings and facilities to achieve a high level of asset preservation at a reduced total operating cost. Ensure that the service level targets are met, as well as providing rapid response and maintaining a quick response to urgent request.Based in California, Ralph's merged with The Kroger Company in 1998.   • Plant Engineer
  • Maintenance Planner/Scheduler
  • Bachelor of Science degree in a Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering.
  • Management skills, operational experience;
  • Knowledge of systems (WIN, IT etc.).
  • Experience with Micro Soft spreadsheet programs (to include Excel, Access, Word).
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communicate skill, both oral and when written.
  • Experience with to training, leading, and motivating.

  • Identify and address problems in a timely fashion providing a trouble free environment for the facility.
  • Identify critical inventory levels for all necessary maintenance equipment and selects the most effective and efficient suppliers.
  • Plan, budget, and execute capital improvement projects for the ongoing operational needs, including technology, facilities and equipment.
  • Establish the level of sanitation and maintain appropriate documentation to meet or exceed the standards set by regulatory agencies.
  • Provide engineering counsel and leadership in establishing and refining preventative maintenance programs, employee training, manpower scheduling techniques, parts room inventory, efficiency improvement programs, regulatory compliance programs etc.
  • Direct the activity of the Maintenance Engineers and Supervisors to insure proper and timely repairs and projects.
  • Establish work measurement techniques and determine the effectiveness and needed improvements of the maintenance group.
  • Perform engineering analysis to determine the root cause of the most critical and repetitive failures. Analyze equipment history to identify specific failures and effectively address them.
  • Administer the PM/PPM programs and inventory for all equipment.
  • Use of the latest predictive maintenance technology for review and refinement.
  • Support and achieves corporate goals.
  • Avoid waste and misuse of product and materials.
  • Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; completes performance reviews and provides feedback to direct reports.
