Arthrex Manufacturing is hiring a Manufacturing Trainer Associate. This position will work with employees to complete the training program assigned. This role will require the individual to work directly on the manufacturing floor training employees on the requirements of manufacturing Arthrex, Inc. product. Experience in CNC machining and trainer or leadership position is essential for this role. The location for this position will be at our manufacturing facility in Ave Maria, FL. The hours will be 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Join our talented team at a global medical device company focused on Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Analyzes needs, establishes learning objectives and delivers training programs and other learning and development services, specialized workshops, including technical training courses for the Arthrex Manufacturing Apprentice Program. Course instruction may include evening classes.

  • Supports QMS Training Initiatives and use of the SuccessFactors LMS for training and assessment content delivery.

  • Delivers and facilitates other Arthrex developed and approved courses.

  • Works with manufacturing regarding learning and development needs.

  • Maintain Training Competency Matrices, Training Role Matrices, and Competency Training materials.Maintain and publish class training calendar.

  • Maintain program materials such as presentations, books, training videos, and supplies.Delivers and organizes train-the-trainer programs for division, department and job-specific trainers as identified throughout the organization.

  • Identifies and implements competency models and recommends and delivers integrated learning and development tools and programs.

  • Reviews vendor training programs and materials; makes recommendations for purchasing new programs and conducts these programs upon request.

  • Participates in other strategic initiatives and assumes additional responsibilities as requested.

  • Create a database and reports to track class attendance, grades and program certification.

  • Evaluate current training programs for web-based training potential. Work with the creator of the program to map out migration or development path.

Education and Experience:


  • High School diploma required

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • 2 years training, or training administrative support, in a manufacturing environment or related training experience required.

  • Experience working with a state recognized apprenticeship program preferred.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of blueprints.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and interact effectively with at all organizational levels.

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Ability to teach/instruct technical classes. When instructing/teaching must have the ability to engage the participants and maintain an appropriate professional learning environment.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Expertise in Swiss Turn, milling, and conventional lathes preferred.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.

Language and Communication Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
