Job Summary:

Supermicro is looking for an experienced Sr. System Engineer in the IoT team that can lead the technical collateral development of in-house IoT and embedded products. This individual will have the opportunity to define and implement latest IoT and embedded technologies, and to create proof of concepts and technical feature paper presentations to differentiate Supermicro product through online and at various industry events. This individual will also be the go-to person for product managers and system engineers to be the subject of matter expert in edge computing and storage, IPC, fanless enclosure, and embedded hardware.
This position will be based in the headquarters located in San Jose, CA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Support pre and post sales inquiries, define and resolve any technical issues from both internal and external in timely manner
• Collaborate with lab to develop and deliver test specifications for system level product to meet required hardware quality and product requirement
• Provide end-to-end support on product/project/solution development, collaborate with cross-functional engineering team to support the entire product lifecycle from Proof-of-concept to end-of-life
• Take ownership and support customer facing and quality teams during customer escalations to understand the issue

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master's degree in engineering discipline, or with equivalent working experiences
• Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experiences in server, fanless enclosure, IPC, or embedded hardware and its components; prefer industry experience in IoT, Industrial PC, edge computing/storage, or embedded
• Solid communicator - able to communicate effectively with both internal and external teams to ensure business excellence
• Solid troubleshooting and analytical skills with emphasis on hands-on work
• Able to work efficiently in fast-paced, corporate, cross-functional environment

Salary Range

$140,000 - $158,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
