ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist individuals with developing and improving their vocational and employment skills and foster independence Acts with empathy and compassion; communicate effectively; demonstrates a positive attitude Support individuals in carrying out their jobs to the standards of their employer Provide safe transportation for individuals to and from their homes or agencys location to employment sites as needed. Job coach individuals by providing one-to-one or drop-in service at employment sites. Ability to see patterns in performance and strategize solutions Report general observations and changes in behaviors as needed Demonstrate excellent communication, good judgment in decision making interpersonal skills Maintains open communication and positive relationships with employers and team members regarding the individuals job performance, ADA regulations, compensatory strategies, etc. Provide redirection and emotional support as needed Support individuals in achieving their vocational goals, as outlined in their Person-Centered Plans (PCPs); collect data accordingly. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the proven ability to multi-task, prioritize duties, and manage time effectively Implement behavior management plans and collect data accordingly. Completion of 40-hour ACRE-endorsed training curriculum in Employment Services within the first year of employment Become and maintain Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) within the first year of employment. Complete and submit all required paperwork thoroughly and in a timely manner Complete all training required by DDA and agency Other duties as assigned
