Oxbow Calcining LLC is currently looking for a Chemist t to join our team in our Enid, OK office. This position will be responsible for maintaining a high level of quality control and quality assurance for the certification of product quality as well as providing technical support and guidance for laboratory operations: procedure writing and training.
Essential Job Duties:
Comply with all of Oxbows Health & Safety Policies.Responsible for understanding and complying with all International Standards Organization (ISO) requirements applicable to the facility, including, but not limited to, compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and quality requirements. Supports quality policies and procedures. Maintains and calibrates equipment systems to support the testing process. Reviews test sample preparation and methods for compliance to industry standards. Maintains data management systems. Provides timely and accurate data for process control. Supports laboratory goals to meet operational excellence. Ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal regulatory standards. Purchases supplies and maintain inventories. Assures that the quality of materials used and products made meet specifications. Responsible and accountable for all laboratory activities under their direction. Maintains ISO quality system requirements relating to data generation and calibration. Assures compliance with all company programs. Supports management with special projects and workflow process improvements and other duties as assigned.

Must be aware and comply with all health and safety rules and requirements applicable to their work and to the general safety of other employees. Communicates clearly and concisely in a variety of communication settings and styles. Effectively tailors the message to the needs of the audience. Establishes goals and objectives which are specific, measurable, achievable and relevant. Lays out work in a well-planned and organized manner. Must knowledge and understanding of hazardous communication and the ability to work with chemicals (ex. Acetone). Must be award and comply with all safe work practices when working with chemicals.
