Job Description:

The Beautiful Doubletree by Hilton Alana - Waikiki Beach is looking forHousekeeping Room Attendants to join their team. This is a perfect opportunity for someone with cleaning experience to explore and grow within the hospitality industry!

Find us on Oahu, at the edge of Waikiki, a ten-minute walk from Kahanamoku Beach. Waikiki Beach, Royal Hawaiian Center, and the Ala Moana Center are within a mile.

What will I be doing?

As a Room Attendant, you would be responsible for cleaning guest rooms and responding to guest requests in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops sponges, brushes, and cleaning products
• Make beds, changing bed linens which may require lifting heavy bedspreads
• Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly
• Push and pull vacuum throughout entire room and empty trash
• Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest room
• Perform deep cleaning tasks, as needed
• Stock, maintain and transport housekeeping supply cart on a daily basis
• Perform guest turn down service, as needed
• Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room
• Respond to special guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

• Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to communicate effectively with other employees, as well as guests
• Ability to follow instructions, directions, and meet deadlines, including the thorough cleaning of rooms as specified by management
• Basic ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand information such as labels and instructions and basic guest requests

What are we looking for?- Previous housekeeping experience preferred
- Hotel Experience a plus!
- Full availability to work varying day shifts including weekends and holidays required

*Please note, benefits may vary depending on the classification and union status of the position

Hourly Range: $26.60-$26.60 per hour

*Hiring-In Rate. All employees hired on or after April 1, 2020 of this Agreement shall receive:
(a) Eighty Percent (80%) of the applicable hourly wage rate, but not less than the applicable minimum statutory wage during the first three (3) months of employment after the most recent date of hire by the Employer. This provision shall be waived for employees who have had at least six (6) months experience in a related field.
(b) Thereafter, and continuing for the next three (3) months of employment, the employees shall receive Eighty-Five Percent (85%) of the applicable hourly wage rate, but not less than the minimum statutory wage rate.
(c) Thereafter, the employee shall receive One Hundred Percent (100%) of the applicable hourly wage for their classification
