Job Summary

Allied World has an exciting opportunity for a Manager – Claims Reporting in our Farmington, CT office who will ensure that all required claims reporting is completed accurately, timely and in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations and rules.  This position will enhance, develop, implement and maintain Allied World’s US claims reporting process and workflows.

Job Duties

• Ensure that AW complies with all reporting requirements under state and federal law with respect to claim settlements, payments, and closings, including national practitioner databank reporting requirements.


• Work closely with the claims department on settlements with Medicare recipients for reporting and coordinating activities to ensure obligations to CMS have been satisfied prior to the final settlement and closure of a claim.


• Enhance, develop, implement and maintain Allied World’s US claims reporting processes and workflows.


• Manage/participate in other key underwriting & claims reporting and compliance-related activities.


• Additional duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree required, JD preferred


• Previous experience working in a Claims department for an insurance carrier, State & Medicare claims reporting experience preferred


• Previous experience working in a compliance/regulatory reporting department of an insurance carrier preferred


• Proven experience in process management and development

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)

·         Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

·         Ability to work to deadlines and prioritize tasks.
