IntelliSource is seeking a skilled Automation Engineer in the manufacturing field to join our partner's dynamic team. This role is crucial for designing and implementing automated systems using PLC programming in ladder logic, developing micro-controller code, and handling general automation tasks.

Automation Engineer Key Responsibilities:

• Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC systems using ladder logic.


• Develop and maintain code for micro-controllers.


• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop automation solutions.


• Conduct system testing and validation.


• Provide technical support and training to other team members.


• Stay up to date with emerging trends in automation technology.

Automation Engineer Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 2 years of experience or an associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 4 years of experience.


• Must be authorized to work in the US.


• Proven experience in PLC programming and micro-controller coding.


• Strong understanding of automation systems and industrial control networks.


• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.


• Python, C++, Structured Text, or other relevant programming languages.


• Ability to read electrical schematics.


• Ability to wire/solder as necessary.


• Experience with Allen Bradley, Phoenix Contact, Schneider, or Siemens controllers.


• Analog sensor theory and application.


• Knowledge of IoT and Industry 4.0 concepts.


• Networking and IP communications.


• Understanding of OPC UA and MODBUS communication protocols.

Work Environment:
This role is part of our Automation Engineering team, reporting to the Head of Engineering. We offer a collaborative and innovative work environment.
