Work Type: Paid Internship – Fulltime (M-F)  

Locations:   Remote
Dates: June 2024 through August 2024  

 

EXP Labs was founded to harness the external innovation ecosystem to create exponential opportunities for our businesses across Kimberly-Clark. Over five years, EXP Labs has launched 100 pilots worldwide and explored a variety of emerging technologies. Recently, EXP Labs has provided more strategic capabilities to our global business units by helping them fill gaps in their innovation pipelines.

As we discover, test, and grow in emerging technologies like Generative AI, Web3, Computer Vision and  AI/ML technologies, we have a unique opportunity to rethink our future. During the internship, the intern will collaborate with members of the EXP Labs Digital Engineering team on various activities related to digital innovation (e.g. design thinking, scouting, ideation, iterative design, coordination, prototyping, minimally viable products, proof of concepts and pilots) to help build and improve upon our digital ecosystem and connected experiences. Recent projects include web3, blockchain, machine learning lifecycle management, generative AI prototypes, and full stack development using ReactJS.

The K-C DTS EXP Labs incumbent will gain exposure to the following areas:  

  • Experience in rapid-prototyping and agile delivery. 

  • Cross-functional collaboration (e.g. Architecture, Security, Procurement, Engineering, etc.) 

  • Exposure to startups and other external partners  

  • Effective communications  

  • Application of emerging tech in a global business  

  • Collaboration with geo-dispersed team members  


  • Opportunity to influence and impact project work

  • Business experience using innovation tools

 
Qualifications 


  • College student pursuing a bachelor's degree, HCI, EE or related field with a cumulative GPA of 3.0+ 

  • Previous related internship or work experience  


  • Strong communication and analytical skills 

  • Leadership experience during college years 

  • Understanding of JavaScript and/or Python - bonus points for demonstrable hands-on experience with ML/AI, React, React Native, or Python 

  • Familiarity with cloud and mobile technologies  

  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week from May to August 2024) 

  • Authorized to work in the U.S. on a regular, full-time basis.
