Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY
Performs basic clerical duties including but not limited to the following.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Answer telephone, handling multiple lines.

Handle routine office inquiries.

Assist with on-campus registration, if applicable.

Operate office equipment, maintain inventory of office supplies, order maintenance/repairs for office equipment.

Refer students to appropriate person or department.

File or bind correspondence and other records/documents.

Type correspondence and other documents from notes, copies, or rough drafts.

Scan and process departmental documents such as surveys or office documents.

Process all incoming and outgoing mail.

Provide support to other areas as needed.

Perform other duties, tasks and assignments as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience


  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • 1 year experience in an office environment preferred

Licensing & Certification
  • Valid Texas Driver License

Working Conditions
General Office. Must be able to perform all job requirements with or without reasonable accommodations; remain in a stationary position during shift; move items weighing up to 25 pounds; position self to operate job equipment; apply established protocols in a timely manner. Must access, input and retrieve information from technology devices; communicate with others to accomplish job requirements. May be required to work after hours to include weekends and holidays.
