Network Engineer -Transport Planner at Infosys Limited

Job Description:

Infosys is seeking a Network Engineer - Transport Planner . This Candidate is responsible for planning and deployment of multi-vendor transport systems and routes across the regional geographic area given and strong, in-depth industry knowledge and vast experience in multivendor Transport platforms in SONET / DWDM technologies. This Candidate is also responsible for identifying the network utilization and plan for the optimization of the existing network resources.

Required Qualifications:


  • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Denver, Co or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US.

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required. Will also consider three year of relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education.

  • At least 2 years of Information Technology experience.

  • At least 1 year experience in Planning , deployment, and commissioning of transport gears related to SONET and DWDM technologies across multi-vendor platforms like Alcatel-Lucent/Nokia, Fujitsu, Infinera, Ciena, Adva etc.

  • Work on inventory systems like PRO, RSI, TIRKS, EON etc.

  • Plan for Long-haul and Metro DWDM route builds.

  • U.S. citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply. We are unable to sponsor currently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Plan and implement the network level grooms from older to growth platform gears.

  • Optimal wave planning and design over multi-vendor DWDM systems.

  • Take part in network consolidation activities and provide realistic solutions considering the best available path / route to save the network costs.

  • Provision various bandwidth circuits end-to-end and prepare them for testing. Troubleshoot the issues that arise during provisioning and end-to-end testing.

  • Verify facilities and equipment with field to ensure correct design.


The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face.
