Job Description:

Vancouver Clinic has an opportunity for a talented Clinical RN Supervisor, PACU to join our new state-of-the-art Ambulatory Surgery Center in Salmon Creek 2!

In this role you will supervise and support daily operations of the Ambulatory Surgery Center, specific to the Pre-op and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurses and Medical Assistants. You will ensure proper operational procedures are followed by all members of the perioperative team and function under the direct supervision of the ASC Manager (ASC OR).

Functions and Responsibilities:


  • Coordinates and manages day-to-day operations of perioperative employees

  • Responsible for the continued safe operation of the assigned departments including all aspects of patient care, staffing, and strategic goals of the unit

  • Works with the Specialty Pharmacy Manager to maintain drug formulary including: medication ordering (including controlled substances), medication inventory, reverse distribution, coordination of audits.

  • Coordinates work assignments and oversees monthly schedule

  • Participates in the hiring selection process, staff evaluations (including quarterly boosters) and disciplinary processes under advisement of ASC Nurse Manager

  • Collaborates with management to develop and implement policies, procedures and the business work plans and, in the selection, and purchase of new equipment

  • Provides leadership and supervisory guidance in quality improvement efforts and assists in leading quality initiatives, maintains and reports required regulatory records and quality assurance reports

  • Assists with annual or other initiatives as developed by ASC leadership

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Current Washington State RN license, BSN strongly preferred.

  • 2 years of previous supervisory or leadership experience required, ASC experience preferred.

  • Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider ACLS, PALS, and BLS CPR certification

  • Specialty certification (CAPA, ASCRN) preferred.

Pay Range:
$105,112.00 - $157,668.00

PTO and Personal Time accruals are pro-rated by FTE/hours worked. Non-benefits eligible employees will accrue Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked.
