Job Summary:

As a Sr. Accountant at MacLean-Fogg, you will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and reviewing financial statements using sound accounting principles. Your insights will help guide our organization's financial decisions and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Job Duties:


  • Keep meticulous records of account entries by compiling and analyzing accounting activities.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements, to project our organization's financial position accurately.
  • Review financial statements for completeness, accuracy, and compliance, maintaining our high standards of quality.
  • Oversee accounting operations or manage a complex segment of the accounting function with precision and attention to detail.
  • Coordinate closely with other departments to align accounting matters with broader organizational goals.
  • Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Uphold our commitment to cleanliness and organization by adhering to 5S standards in the work area.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
  • Take on additional duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of our team.

Experience and Education:

  • Perform work with minimal supervision, demonstrating independence and initiative.
  • Handle complex issues and problems with confidence, seeking guidance only for the most challenging matters.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and practices, leveraging your expertise to drive results.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to your colleagues, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Typically require a bachelor's degree and 4 to 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred, demonstrating your commitment to professional excellence.
