Role Responsibilities

Mechanical engineer will be joining a cross functional product development team responsible for creating high value power protection solutions for customers worldwide. You would resolve customer pain points related to design, installation, maintenance, and replacement of products. He/She would be responsible from concept design to mass production of sheet metal and/or plastic product enclosures, IT racks, subassemblies, cables, heatsinks, cooling and packaging solutions.

What will you do?


  • Apply your experience with parts design, manufacturing, and assembly processes to produce high value world class product designs.

  • Support Agile product development cycle. Use advance technique for quick proto concepts for example 3D printing

  • Analyze new designs using FEA, CFD, and DFM/DFA tools as needed.

  • Perform Thermal analysis of power components and design cooling methods. (forced air, liquid cooling etc)

  • Select and specify sustainable materials and components to maximize recycling.

  • Hands on involvement in product branding and industrial design development.

  • Plan / support design verification during new product development. vibration, shock, HALT, thermal

  • Plan and support design verification testing, fabrication tooling and transition to mass production.

  • Interact with vendors and factory in Philippines and bring best practice to the team.

  • Assist with primary vendor selection and qualification with cost, quality, and sustainability as key matrix.

  • Support product development team to release product to manufacturing and meet quality volume goals.

  • Responsible for material documentation, component drawings, BOM and ECO.

Required Experience :


  • Knack of identifying customer pain points and thinking out of box solutions to resolve it.

  • Ability to create quick concepts in an agile fashion.

  • Experience working with 3D modeling program (CREO preferred).

  • Experience working with 3D product data management tool (PDM).

  • Design for Manufacturing and sustainability.

  • Working knowledge of Safety and regulatory Standards.

  • Should be comfortable using basic hand tools.

  • Ability to generate IP (intellectual property)


Technology We Use:

CREO, CFD, Coreldraw, Rapid Prototyping

Qualifications:


  • Bachelors / Master's in mechanical engineering with 0 to three years' experience.

  • Background in designing Battery / Energy Storage or IT racks would be plus.
