Position Summary

If you are driven by a passion for enhancing the customer experience with F5 products, leading business transformation to cloud, SaaS, and subscription, and simplifying complex problems across internal functions and systems, then this is the perfect role for you!

In the Commercial Models Buying Program team you will be part of a very dynamic and collaborative team that addresses a wide range of opportunities. As a Product Manager (PM), you will lead efforts on crafting new and improving existing buying programs (like Flex Consumption, Term Subscription, etc.), defining new offers, and supporting Sales with specific Customer deals. You will work collaboratively, driving strategic alignment within the organization, and can communicate to both internal and external audiences. You will develop requirements using a balance of future vision, near term opportunities, customer requirements, business insight, and management of day-to-day program issues.

The PM will engage with executives, product and service product managers, channel, end users, and business partners. The position is dynamic; becoming comfortable with frequent multi-tasking among technical, business, strategic, marketing and planning activities will be useful for success.

This role requires a good understanding of both F5 and industry licensing and business practices. You can expect to be mentored and supported in your skill development and career growth by a diverse group of experienced Product Management professionals.

Primary Responsibility

  • Lead and own components of the buying programs.

  • Support the development of new programs and life cycle management of existing buying programs (e.g., Flex Consumption, Term Subscription).

  • Build, maintain, and prioritize backlog of features and epics to supply to overall Commercial Models roadmap.

  • Work with PMs on offers and product inclusion into buying programs.

  • Work with Sales Operations, IT and other internal resources on operations design and improvements.

  • Build and deliver presentations to non-executive audiences.

  • Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong customer orientation, able to listen, prioritize and champion key initiatives and projects.

  • Outstanding written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, with ability to articulate complex commercial models clearly.

  • Ability to work independently or lead others on projects.

  • Excellent leadership and persuasion skills.

  • Knowledge and experience in agile product development methodologies.

  • May require the ability to travel via automobile or airplane, approximately 10% of the time spent traveling.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another relevant field. MBA a plus.

  • 3+ years of licensing, pricing, sales, or equivalent.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office products (emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint).
