Join our team as a Restorative Certified Nursing Assistant- CNA, where you'll be instrumental in enhancing residents' lives through personalized exercise programs and compassionate care. Under the guidance of a licensed nurse, you'll provide hands-on assistance and support in daily activities, fostering an environment that prioritizes residents' well-being.

Essential Job Functions
Lead resident exercises as prescribed by physicians.Record session details and resident responses, reporting any changes to the licensed nurse.Monitor and document residents' height, weight, vital signs, and fluid intake/output.Accompany residents on external visits and assist with mobility aids.Aid residents in personal care activities, ensuring cleanliness and comfort.Collect and handle specimen samples as required.Assist residents during meals, including feeding and transportation.Safely transfer, position, and assist residents with mobility using appropriate devices.Perform range of motion exercises and assist with ambulation.Maintain cleanliness by conducting light housekeeping duties and ensuring safety in resident areas.Assist with weight measurements, post-mortem care, and isolation techniques.Collaborate in developing and executing individualized care plans.Conduct regular rounds to ensure residents' well-being and comfort.Respond promptly to call lights, ensuring residents' needs are met.Perform blood glucose measurements and communicate changes in resident conditions.Assist medical staff during treatments and procedures.Attend training sessions and staff development activities for ongoing skill enhancement.Chart resident care accurately and in a timely manner as per facility protocols.Support new staff in acclimating to facility policies and routines.Show genuine compassion and empathy in caring for residents.Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge procedures as guided by facility protocols.Manage inventory, prepare rooms for new admissions, and label residents' personal belongings.Escort and assist residents as needed and maintain effective communication with all involved parties.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of:
Medical terminology.Safety rules, policies and procedures, infection prevention and control procedures.Facility emergency/disaster response and evacuation procedures.Resident Rights and identifying abuse and/or neglect.
Skill in:
Use and care of equipment, tools and materials used in resident care activities.Working independently to complete daily activities according to work schedule.Communication both oral and written.Following and maintaining safety standards.Following and effectively communicating verbal and written instructions.Operating a computer utilizing a variety of commonly used and specialized software applications.
Ability to:
To use diagnostic equipment.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with associate personnel, residents and resident family members.Read and write clearly.Understand and follow, quickly and accurately, oral and written instructions.Prioritize, including excellent time management skills.Maintain confidentiality and work under pressure in a dynamic environment with changing demands and priorities.Comply with policies and procedures.

Working Conditions
Must be able to bear weight of 100 pounds or more.Requires constant physical activities including standing, walking, lifting, and bending, stooping, pulling, stretching, turning, grasping and reaching.Must be able to wear protective equipment such as gloves, masks, gowns, goggles and gait belts.Visual acuity to determine the accuracy, thoroughness and quality of work assigned.Aural acuity to receive detailed information through oral communication, often from persons with speech impairment.Safety-sensitive position pursuant to A.R.S. 23-493.

Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or its equivalent.Must hold a current state certified nursing assistant license and must maintain license renewal in accordance with the standards of the State Board of Nursing.Minimum experience of one year preferred.Previous geriatric care preferred

Special Requirements
Obtain/maintain Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Card at employees expense.Obtain/maintain CPR Certification.Obtain COVID-19 vaccine or an approved exemptionComplete annual Tuberculosis Testing.Complete required 12 hours of annual in-service training.Mandated federal, state, and local communicable disease testing as required.
