Job Description:

Nystrom & Associates, Ltd. is an integrated team of substance use disorder and mental health professionals that work with clients individually and in group settings. Nystrom also offers a number of other in-house services to enhance treatment and on-going care, including; nutrition services, family programming, psychological testing, individual and family therapy, psychiatry, medication management, Adult Day Treatment and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.

We are seeking a full-time LADC who will be in the role of a Site Supervisor overseeing the SUD teams in Apple Valley & Minnetonka, MN. For counselor duties this individual will also run the 1.0 day groups for our Apple Valley location.


Job Duties:

Maintain knowledge of and compliance with Nystrom & Associates and 245G substance use disorder (SUD) Treatment Program Policy and Procedure Manual.
Ensure compliance with Department of Human Services (DHS) 245G Statutes.
Understand the Grievance Policy and assist LADCs and patients in navigating the process to resolve grievances at the lowest level in a timely manner and document accordingly.
Maintain knowledge of and assure supervisees' appropriate use of American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Criteria and ensure staff use the DSM -5 to appropriately diagnose patients.
Conduct and document regular individual clinical supervision meetings with each supervisee. Provide ongoing feedback regarding professional performance and development. All Interns and ADC-Ts require weekly documented supervision.
Ensure timely staff completion of required and ongoing training in Relias.
Conduct performance reviews for staff annually and as needed, and document in Relias.
In conjunction with Nystrom & Associates Quality Assurance Department, conduct regular chart audit reviews of each supervisee based on 245G documentation standards to maintain compliance with timely documentation completion, clinical thoroughness and accurate billing for services provided.
Ensure staff are billing timely and accurately.
Utilize and enforce employee interventions and disciplinary measures when needed including friendly visits, verbal warnings, written warnings, performance improvement plans (PIP) and document accordingly.
Lead Weekly SUD Clinical Case Consultation Meetings and ensure proper documentation and attendance.
Provide general clinical and program oversight. Manage the day-to-day operations of SUD at assigned clinic(s). Assist SUD Management in the oversight and monitoring of:

Program census: monitor each counselor's caseload size based on their abilities;
Group capacity: ensure each group is reaching 16 patient capacity;
Patient retention: ratio of scheduled patients versus attending patients and counselor's ability to maintain patients ongoing;
Patient re-engagement: ensure counselors attempt to reengage patients who discontinue services unexpectedly;
Provider productivity: ensure staff are aware of and achieve 65% direct service time (26 hours of patient face to face time weekly).

Process PTO requests from LADCs through completion.

A) Work with float counselor supervisor to arrange coverage for PTO of LADC's, coverage to include facilitate SUD groups, conduct SUD evaluations, SUD orientations, and SUD individuals. In emergent situations, provide coverage or work on coverage options without utilizing the float supervisor.
B) PTO should only be approved once coverage is secured.

Ensure consistent implementation of approved SUD Group Curriculum and SUD Family Program.
Audit group a minimum of once per year for each LADC or as needed and agreed upon by operations manager.
Ensure staff maintain the integrity of the SUD program structure including the requirement for weekly SUD Individual Sessions as part of ASAM Levels of Care.
Ensure fully complete, 245G compliant group sign in sheets by each group provider. Upload to SharePoint monthly.
Assist in the recruitment, hiring and training of professional program staff, interns and alumni group volunteers. Assist Addiction Management and Nystrom & Associates Marketing Team and Talent Acquisition to promote and coordinate program growth and marketing efforts.
Act as a liaison and with other service providers within Nystrom & Associates, the community and referents including resolving issues/concerns that arise.
Ensure all clinics uphold the highest level of moral and ethical standards. Employees will abide by Nystrom & Associates Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy.
Maintain and promote a positive, safe, harmonious, productive, and challenging work environment.
Safeguard personally identifiable health information in accordance with duties and current agency HIPAA notification statement and standards including 42CFR subpart B.
Collaborate regularly with Office Managers to ensure Addiction Services is running smoothly within the clinic. Ensure 245G mandatory policies are posted and adequate SUD supplies are on hand.
Participate in all meetings as scheduled.
Provide counseling services to patients on caseload, including all responsibilities of Nystrom & Associates LADC position description.
Maintain good standing with LADC licensure with BBHT following all board requirements.
Will abide to Nystrom Alcohol & Drug testing policy.
Other duties as assigned.
