Barrington Bank and Trust is looking for a Seasonal Associate to join our Business Banking Underwriting team! This position is available for 3 months from May through August.
What You’ll Do
Spread business financial statements (Balance Sheet and Income Statements) and tax returns using Moody’s software
Complete Cash Flow, Balance Sheet, Collateral, Leverage, Liquidity, and profitability analysis to determine the overall risk of extending credit to businesses
Testing of financial covenants such as Debt Service Coverage, Tangible Net Worth, Liquidity, and Leverage covenants
Spread personal financial statements and tax returns for individual guarantors
Complete Credit memos to test and/or waive financial covenants
Complete administrative duties such as submitting Credit Services requests to help clear Bank exceptions
Assist Relationship Managers by requesting updated financial statements from Borrower’s to help clear the Bank’s exceptions
Run Credit Reports
Assist the Credit team to complete ACH Annual Reviews
Other duties or assignments as required by the Bank.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with a Business, Finance, or Accounting major or pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or other related field
Prior commercial underwriting experience is a plus
