Barrington Bank and Trust is looking for a Seasonal Associate to join our Business Banking Underwriting team! This position is available for 3 months from May through August.

What You’ll Do

• Spread business financial statements (Balance Sheet and Income Statements) and tax returns using Moody’s software




• Complete Cash Flow, Balance Sheet, Collateral, Leverage, Liquidity, and profitability analysis to determine the overall risk of extending credit to businesses




• Testing of financial covenants such as Debt Service Coverage, Tangible Net Worth, Liquidity, and Leverage covenants




• Spread personal financial statements and tax returns for individual guarantors




• Complete Credit memos to test and/or waive financial covenants




• Complete administrative duties such as submitting Credit Services requests to help clear Bank exceptions




• Assist Relationship Managers by requesting updated financial statements from Borrower’s to help clear the Bank’s exceptions




• Run Credit Reports




• Assist the Credit team to complete ACH Annual Reviews




• Other duties or assignments as required by the Bank.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent




• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills




• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a Business, Finance, or Accounting major or pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or other related field




• Prior commercial underwriting experience is a plus
