Job Description:

Lynden Incorporated is seeking a Manager of Applications Development to work as part of our SeaTac based team.  You will be responsible for management of applications development personnel and activities required to innovate and sustain Lynden’s computer software applications. This position is not safety sensitive.

  • Work as part of a management team to ensure in-house applications meet business goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and conform to our IT department standards.

  • Manage and prioritize the work of developers, ensuring timely delivery of projects, plan, and direct projects, assign work, review, and evaluate performance, and meet with staff to identify and solve problems.

  • Maintain effective working relationships with key business and IT stakeholders to determine their application development needs.

  • Lead or coordinate design review process and application design for projects, provides detailed cost estimates, risk assessment, resource plans and schedules.

  • Responsible for escalating, assisting, and resolving issues related to applications.

  • Mentor, train, and manage application developer employees and contractors.

  • Manage the life cycle of existing applications, identify, and execute the required upgrades.

  • Ensure applications development projects are executed in coordination with architectural plans.

  • Perform project management, system analysis and programming tasks.

  • Develop and refine processes and procedures to help IT and Lynden become more efficient and effective.

What we need from you:


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or other related field/discipline from an accredited college or university, required.


  • 5 years’ related experience required.

Supervisory skills including, directly supervising employees, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Our Hiring Process for this position:
