Job Title: Senior Analyst, Telecommunications

Job Summary:

The Sr. Telecommunications Analyst analyzes requirements and data network design solutions, and configures data networks equipment. This position supports the network architecture and infrastructure for the wired network LAN and MAN solutions. This position implements and manages network management software for remote monitoring of networks. The candidate maintains network disaster recovery plans and monitors network performance and availability. This position assists with the installation of network routers, and switches for local and remote locations. The candidate performs quality assurance and testing of transmission mediums and infrastructure components. The candidate provides 3rd level network support to investigate, and resolves complex network problems. This position maintains and increases a broad range of knowledge and skills in data networking topology and equipment. The candidate provides guidance to team members and interacts with customers and vendors.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Interacts with vendors.
  • Evaluates Emerging Technologies.
  • Develops Data Center Telecommunications.
  • Produces Network Systems Designs.
  • Contributes to the Development of Budgets.
  • Develops and documents Telecommunications Standards.

Job Requirements:


  • U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Employer will not sponsor visas for position
  • Experience with wired data networking equipment, concepts, protocols, network design, network testing and troubleshooting methodologies
  • Experience configuring network equipment (routers, switches, or load balancers)
  • Knowledge of (voice architecture, voice support, project management, Tangoe, Avaya products, Legacy voice equipment)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with layer 2 protocols (ARP, spanning-tree, etc.) and layer 3 protocols (OSPF, BGP, etc.)
  • Familiarity with technical analysis, technical writing, and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or the equivalent in education and work experience
