Job Description:

As the Director of Vertical Integration, this role will have a dual role in launching and managing distribution services for new healthcare accounts and new building facilities. This dynamic leader will be responsible for developing and implementing distribution strategies and processes for these startups to ensure efficient and seamless healthcare product delivery.

Responsibilities


  • • New Account Startups: Collaborate with sales and account management teams to onboard new healthcare clients. Develop and execute distribution strategies tailored to meet their unique needs, through the implementation of new standards across all stakeholders in the process.

  • New Building Startups: Lead the distribution setup for new distribution centers. Coordinate with Construction, Engineering, Talent Acquisition, Operations Excellence, Human Resources, Transportation, and other teams to establish efficient warehousing and delivery processes within new buildings.

  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a dedicated distribution and development team capable of handling both new accounts and new building startups. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure teams meet their performance targets.

  • Operational Excellence: Manage daily distribution operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping logistics, to maintain high-quality service and efficiency.

  • Partner with the Operational Excellence Team to instill fundamental RCA, DMS, and visual workplace skillsets at start of new building set-ups for the leadership team.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all distribution activities adhere to healthcare industry regulations, safety standards, and quality control measures.

  • Cost Management: Monitor and control distribution costs for startups to maximize profitability while delivering exceptional service.

  • Data Analysis: Utilize data-driven insights to optimize distribution processes, identify areas for improvement, and make informed decisions.

  • Customer Satisfaction: Prioritize customer satisfaction by meeting delivery deadlines, responding to customer inquiries and feedback, and continuously improving service quality.

  • Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge in healthcare distribution for startups.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
Proven experience of at least 7 years in relevant experience with a, with a minimum of 4 years of management experience to include new customer and/or facility startups or development.
Strong understanding of healthcare supply chain processes, regulations, and industry standards.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and leading successful teams.
Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Detail-oriented and highly organized.
Ability to adapt to a dynamic startup environment and work well under pressure
Up to 70% travel
Preferred Qualifications

An MBA or relevant postgraduate degree is a plus.
PMP, Lean Green or Black Belt certification a plus.
Working knowledge of EDI data sets.
Ability to partner and influence.
