As we continue to grow, Tetra Tech has multiple opportunities for entry level Transportation Engineers to work with a top-notch team of highway/traffic engineers and transportation planners. We focus on advancing complex roadway/highway infrastructure projects and we are a recognized leader in the planning, permitting, and design of transportation projects throughout the Commonwealth. We are proud to be designing major projects within our region such as the I-90 Allston Multimodal and the Rutherford Ave/Sullivan Square corridor in Boston.

Location: This position is based out of our Marlborough, MA office, located in the Marlborough Technology Park, which is easily accessible from major highways and full of amenities such as a cafeteria, game room and gym. We offer a hybrid work environment with the flexibility to work from home and in the office.

Your Role:

• Designing intersections and roadways from inception to completion
• Designing horizontal geometry, profiles, and grading
• Working on Complete Streets, green infrastructure, design pavements, markings/signs, including highway guide signs
• Preparing Temporary Traffic Control Plans
• Developing quantity takeoffs, cost estimates and specifications
• Performing field work and data collection in a variety of environments

The ideal candidate possesses:

• 0-3 years of experience
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
• EIT certification preferred
• Beginner to intermediate AutoCAD/Civil 3D design skills
• Experience with other computer software applications within the civil engineering field (ideally SignCAD, AutoTurn, etc.) desirable but not required
• Ability to work in a team environment with staff from different disciplines and backgrounds
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Requires successful evaluation of a motor vehicle record (MVR) check and maintaining a safe driving record
