Job Description:

Position Summary:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading non-profit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.We are looking for an innovative, energetic, inspiring, and experienced professional to be the face of our Member Services at our flagship branch - the Everett YMCA. Responsible for driving all aspects of membership for the branch including recruitment of new members, retention of existing members and supervision/development of assigned staff. Helps to build the community's understanding of the Y's cause and impact. Develops, plans, and implements new procedures and methods to achieve strategic goals. Ensure a safe, positive and inclusive atmosphere that promotes participant safety and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies, practices and procedures.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Monitors and evaluates data and drives inclusive membership strategies relating to the recruitment of new members, member engagement and retention of existing members Comprehensive knowledge and ability to train sales cycle (introduction/probing/close) Create a member-engaged culture and model relationship-building skills in all interactions Oversight of all areas involving Member Experience, including, but not limited to senior engagement and programming, and family engagement and programming, as well as oversight of Kid Zone Foster an environment of innovation and resolves problems to ensure member satisfaction Promotes a diverse workforce; recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules and directs personnel and volunteers as needed Continually evaluates staff performance, fostering a coaching culture Develops strategies to motivate and encourage cause-driven staff to achieve goals Promotes program and membership enrollment in interactions with existing and potential members Coordinates program registration, including logistics to support phone, walk-in and web registration Coordinates with marketing efforts to maximize enrollments and provides ongoing support to Program Directors on related issues Participates in the planning and development of the annual budget; manages and implements the approved budget for membership and takes appropriate action to correct variances Ensures proper implementation of Welcome Center policies, practices and procedures Respond to emergency situations Review, update, and relay branch information to staff Maintain a professional, clean and welcoming environment of the facility Coordinates with the business office as necessary on financial transactions May organize events and/or represent the YMCA at community events Leads assigned aspects of the fund-raising campaign Takes a leadership role in the planning and coordination of branch-wide events Facilitate department meetings; participates in staff meetings and/or related meetings Serve as a member of the Everett YMCA leadership team and the Association Membership Advancement Team to support the overall objectives of the YMCA Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
One year or more previous direct supervisory experience in customer service Experience working with individuals, families and communities of diverse backgrounds and abilities
Strong computer skills and experience with standard business software Strong professional written and verbal communication skills Highly organized and detail oriented Has a growth mindset and willingness to learn and develop Emotionally mature and able to manage self and others in high-stress situations
Fluency in second language desired
