    Position Description:


    The Production Supervisor responsible for the overall performance of a shift and monitors and approves necessary setting adjustments. The Production Supervisor ensures that preventative maintenance requirements are done as outlined by machine specification and preventative maintenance guidelines and has a working knowledge of various product orders by following all material requirements and customer requests.


    Responsibilities:



    • Ensures quality control checks are being done and helps maintain customer requirements according to specifications.

    • Ensures correct housekeeping procedures on machinery and in designated work areas are maintained.

    • Ensure adherence to company policies. Attends all required training sessions and conducts team meetings.

    • Facilitates scheduled work orders.

    • Ensures that all materials to fulfill the work orders are present.

    • Coordinates and hold team meetings covering cell safety, quality, and reliability issues.

    • Monitors all Quality Documentation ensuring all is in compliance.

    • Converses with Team Leader and Line Maintenance Technician to prioritize work to be completed on the line.

    • Works with new team members to train online and on auxiliary equipment.

    • Responsible for correct production data that is entered into PICS.

    • Responsible for monitoring sales orders for finish good product.

    • Responsible for maintaining a high level of motivation and development of team members’ technical skills.

    • Ensures all policies are followed – GMP, Safety, and Work Instructions.

    • Responsible for maintaining ISO standards.

    • Responsible for reporting food safety issues to personnel with authority to initiate action.

    • Initiate action for food safety issues.

    • Assist team members in troubleshooting technical issues.

    • All other duties as assigned.


    Qualifications:



    • Associates degree in Plastics Technology, Electrical, Electronics, Electro-Mechanical or a similar technical area preferred or previous experience accepted

    • Team oriented

    • Must be able to manage processes for SPC, Quality, and Lean Manufacturing

    • Self - Motivation and flexibility of job assignments

    • Blend of technical, interpersonal skills, and continuous learning through training.

    • Must possess strong leadership skills

    • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills

    • Basic computer skills
