Position Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for working with the product management, technology, and the business to manage and prioritize strategic initiatives, system enhancements, and other projects using appropriate methodologies and frameworks.  Directs cross functional teams through project lifecycle from ideation to project execution and approval.  Creates and maintains all project level documentation.  

What You’ll Do


  • Work with product owners and project teams to determine project scope, objectives, and identify issues and risks. 


  • Manage and direct overall project team activities and monitors project status to ensure all parties are on track with project requirements, schedules, and deadlines, and escalate and resolve issues as needed. 


  • Provide regular project status reports to cross functional teams and management.


  • Create and/or maintain project documentation such as detailed work plans, flow charts, graphs, status reports, roadmaps, and resources planning documents as necessary.


  • Work with senior management to review and prioritize strategic initiatives; track project health and provides project status report(s). 


  • Submits projects through the corporate EPMO process as appropriate, following the change management process and executing projects within the approved framework. 


  • Ensure Project Sponsors are kept up to date and prepared to present to the appropriate committee(s) as necessary.   


  • Assist in developing, improving, and standardizing Project Management best practices within the organization. 


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree and/or PMP preferred


  • 3-5 years of prior project management experience, preferably within financial services.


  • Experience working with or within a corporate PMO or EPMO.


  • Experience determining and defining project scope and objectives.


  • Experience with Resource Management.


  • Experience with Budgeting/financial management.


  • Experience developing and maintaining detailed project schedule/plan.


  • Experience measuring project performance and identifying areas for improvement


  • Experience with Risk Management (i.e. identify, analyze, evaluate, treat, and monitor)
