Job Description:

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN NORTH PALM BEACH, FL AND YOU MUST BE ABLE TO WORK IN THE OFFICE.

POSITION SUMMARY: 
Quality Assurance Analyst III: 


  • Uses proven methodologies to test DSS’ software applications produced by Research and Development (R&D) for correct execution of all functions

  • Supports one or two products full time and may be assigned to other products as backup

  • Drives the improvements in Quality Assurance processes and standards

RESPONSIBILITIES:  


  •     Expert in the creation of test scripts/cases to standard

  •     Executes and improves manual and predefined automated tests on assigned products/projects

  •     Identify and execute test cases relevant for a given change in the system

  •     Tracks, reports, documents, analyzes and drives to resolution defects found during testing or reported by clients 

  •     Ensure the appropriate testing and monitoring tools/technologies are configured accordingly with the test objective/project team requirements 

  •     Participates in daily stand up meetings for assigned products

  •     Leads live software demonstrations to assigned product team and/or customers

  •     Provide mentoring to members for assigned team

  •     Take a leadership role in assigned internal Quality Assurance projects

  •     Demonstrates initiative for self-improvement

  •     Expert in executing QA Processes and Procedures; identifies opportunities for improvement

  •     Attends onsite and offsite training

  •     Travels to Client sites to test software in real time in the client’s environment (up to 25% of the year)

SECURITY AND PRIVACY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Individuals working for DSS will be subject to security and privacy requirements as explained in HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53. Additionally, they are required to undergo specific FedRAMP training to ensure compliance with all associated controls and responsibilities in the day-to-day performance of their duties. Individuals working in departments that are considered to be in the high risk category will be required to undergo advanced training based on their role and level of access. Individuals with access to modify data and the configuration baseline will require further training.

Skills:
    Required:


  •     High degree of experience with any Quality Assurance software testing tools; qTest, Jira and Confluence

  •     High degree of experience with Quality Assurance processes

  •     High degree of experience with Software application testing, including clinical applications

  •     High degree of experience with Microsoft Office Products 

  •     High degree of experience with Agile Development Methodologies

  •     High level of expertise regarding Software Development Life Cycle

  •     Prioritizes, manages time, and is detail oriented

  •     Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  •     Works independently and as a contributing team member

  •     Clearly identifies and reproduces software defects including patient safety

  •     Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, presentation and reporting skills incorporating clinical terminology as appropriate

    Preferred:


  •     Knowledge of VistA and CPRS

  •     Knowledge of Microsoft SQL

  •     Knowledge of Microsoft and/or Linux Servers

  •     Experience with Electronic Health Records interface standards preferably HL7 messaging

  •     Experience with patient care in a clinical setting

Education:
    Required:


  •     High School or equivalent, AS, AA degree or must have an equivalent combination of work experience and\or education 

    Desired:


  •     Bachelor ‘s degree Computer Science, Computer Information, Health Information, or other related degree

  •     Military experience

Certification(s), Licenses:
    Optional, not required:


  •     Current CSTE, CSQA, ISTQB certification, Clinical/Medical/Pharmacy License, Health Informatics

Experience:


  •     3 to 5+ years’ experience in an Analytical or Clinical Role
