is responsible for the overall quality of the change management process including adherence to the organization's change management policy and procedure with respect to IT change requests, end-to-end stakeholders’ involvement in the process and judicious application of change controls to prevent unauthorized and disruptive changes.
Essential Duties:
Plans and executes Configuration Management throughout the project lifecycle, including development, migration, deployment, and security
Oversees the daily management of configuration items including establishing priorities and work assignments
Tracks compliance to policies and procedures and resolving / escalating any compliance issues
Reviews migration plans
Reviews and updates configuration management processes
Facilitates Configuration Management audits
Reviews critical incident outage resolution results and responses and dispositions of failed changes due to CMS related issues
Act as secretariat for the CAB and ECAB (meeting scheduling, prior circulation of change requests and agenda to be considered, meeting invites and quorum formation)
Facilitates communication and engage business and IT management to encourage configuration management efforts and value proposition
Reviews and approves all changes to the CMS infrastructure where applicable
Reviews and approves significant IT infrastructure changes to ensure impacts to configuration management data are properly addressed
Mentors the organization on configuration management services, concepts, policies and procedures
Provides and approves all requirements, use cases, user stories, etc. in support of new or improving functionality of the CMS
