OBJECTIVES:
The Hardware Order Puller is responsible for efficiently and accurately pulling hardware stock orders, coordinating with various departments to ensure smooth order fulfillment, and providing timely updates on backorders.
DUTIES:
Regularly check the Orders to Be Pulled and Transfer boxes, prioritizing orders based on scheduled delivery/will call
Pull hardware orders promptly, ensuring timely fulfillment
Place pulled hardware in designated locations for the Load Coordinator to prepare for shipment
Update hardware orders in the system, including location, date pulled, puller's initials, and the number of tags (indicating hardware unit quantity).
Collaborate with receiving personnel to stage special order hardware alongside stock items for the same order.
Inform the salesperson (or Sales or Receiving manager if salesperson is unavailable) of any hardware backorders to facilitate timely product ordering, substitutions or replacements.
Update the system with all backorders, including a line for each backordered or partially filled item, specifying the quantity backordered (use sku ====BO====)
Ensure all materials pulled for WC’s or Deliveries are accurate and properly packaged
Regularly check the delivery shelf for "dead" orders and hand them over to the appropriate Hardware Department personnel for restocking.
Assist with the check-in and stocking of hardware as needed
Provide backup support for receiving as needed
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Possess positive interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and accept direction on given assignments
Able to work in a cooperative manner as part of a team
Maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and the general public
Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant health/safety and company policies and procedures
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Sit/stand for 8 hours per day
Vision abilities required by this job include close vision
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud
Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and vehicles
Must be able to lift/carry 80 lbs. occasionally; must be able to push/pull 80lbs
Horizontal reaching with arms and hands are required
All mobility motions are required: standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching
Range of motion and physical activity occurring regularly throughout the work day
