The Body Shop is an integral part of this Company’s success. The Body Shop Foreman will assist the Body Shop Manager in coordinating the activities of the body shop to make it a profitable department for the Company. The Body Shop Foreman will direct the scheduling and performance of body repair on class 7 and 8 trucks as well as the operation and maintenance of the body repair facilities.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate operation and maintenance of body shop equipment and repair facilities
Prepare estimates for truck body repair
Work closely with customers and insurance adjusters
Train body technicians in process and procedures of repair work
Assist the Body Shop Manager when needed and assume managerial duties when the Body Shop Manager is absent
Schedule work and assign work to the body shop technicians
Personal Requirements:
The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing
The ability to listen and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing or verbally so other will understand
The ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
The ability to resolve complaints and problems as they arise from customers and employees
The ability to perform basic math as well as calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, and statistics
Must be able to interact well with managers, customers, and the general public
Must have a valid driver’s license and meet insurability requirements
Valid CDL preferred

Education/Training or Experience:
High school diploma or GED required
Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred
Six months to one year related experience and/or training
