Job Description:

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a Director of Physician Recruitment to be onsite at our Orlando location and to oversee physician recruitment across the Nemours Health System.

The Director of Physician Recruitment has the responsibility to ensure that the Physician Recruitment Team has a strong customer focus, are operationally efficient and achieve effective recruitment outcomes consistent with organizational strategies. This individual needs to be results oriented, a thought partner to Physician and Operational leadership with exemplary communication skills and a track record of effective collaboration and creative solutions. This role will develop effective staffing and sourcing approaches that will accelerate the achievement of strategic talent acquisition goals. This position will require travel to all Nemours sites.

Essential Functions:


  • Develop and lead the implementation of the physician recruitment strategy for Nemours.
  • Serve as an internal advisor and talent acquisition partner to leaders and make confident recommendations that promote Nemours business objectives.
  • Continually identify opportunities for improvement within the physician recruitment function and make necessary changes.
  • Define provider recruitment metrics and partners with HRIS/ERP teams to develop tracking and reporting methods to share with leadership.
  • Collaborate with Director of Workforce Partnerships to drive strategic relationships with residency and fellowship programs to increase the workforce pipeline and drive diversity related initiatives.
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment and hiring process specifically designed to create an exemplary candidate experience in alignment with Nemours strategy, mission and values.
  • Research and stay current with market trends to inform strategies as well as the development and implementation of any needed policies/guidelines related to the physician recruitment.
  • Partner with Marcom leadership to develop the framework for a physician conference strategy that will elevate Nemours stature in the marketplace.
  • Attend physician conferences as needed to support the departments in relation to their talent needs.
  • Responsible for candidate leads, prescreening and appropriate follow up for all applicants.
  • Maintain open and responsive communications with all Hiring Physician Leaders as well as applicants in process.
  • Partner with executive assistants to conduct interviews and be part of onsite visits as needed.
  • Utilize the applicant tracking system to continuously build applicant profiles and candidate pools.
  • Partner with New Provider Liaison and Medical Staff Services for credentialing and back end support needs for onboarding of physicians.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Healthcare or a related discipline.
  • Five to seven years of In-house Physician/APP Recruitment experience with three to five years management experience.
  • Certification in Physician Recruitment CMSR, FASPR, AAPPR is preferred.
